Look I know the Libertarian Party isn't going to win a presidential election, but geez, you'd think they would at least come up with a credible candidate. Gary Johnson, the former New Mexico governor, is making Trump look like a well-prepared whiz kid. He just keeps committing gaffe after gaffe. First came his infamous "What is Aleppo?" blank look reply to a question about Syria. Then today, in an interview with Chris Matthews, he couldn't name *one* world leader whom he respects. And it wasn't that he doesn't respect any. He couldn't think of the names of any. He even admitted having an "Aleppo moment."
And then after the NY-NJ bombings, he said "Thank God no one was injured." 29 people were.
Folks, if any of you were thinking of voting for this clown, think again. He's totally unqualified to be president.

But either he or Jill Stein will be getting my vote, Johnson most likely. Barack Obama was the first Democrat I voted for in decades, once. For me it isn't about winning, it is about the desperate need this country has for a 3rd or a 4th voice. I belonged to the Human Rights Party in Michigan. We ran and won an election for the first openly gay person in the US. We passed preferential voting. We pushed for rent control. We originated and passed a $5 pot law. 3rd parties bring change and 1/2 of the time our allies in passing legislation were the Republicans.
Some of my good friends think I am crazy. There is the Supreme Court etc. etc. But I live in Texas, Hillary won't be carrying Texas unless Johnson takes away enough votes from Trump. I'm not voting Libertarian because I agree with all their positions, I don't agree with some very serious issues like gun control and the role of the federal government. I am voting for a 3rd party because unless and until the Democrats and Republicans feel threatened they aren't going to go back to their roots of representing ordinary Americans instead of corporate interests. Both of those parties need serious competition.
I think Johnson should withdraw and let Weld head the ticket.
