Interesting development. You could say this is a landmark move. Or, the cynic could say it's a way for the national Scouts to deflect responsibility and get groups to reconsider their donations, while at the same time leaving the ban mostly unchanged. Hmmmm. I guess time will tell.

I guess my attitude will have to change towards the Boy Scouts if they really do allow gay members. Until now everytime I saw them looking for donations, my response was "Sorry I don't suppoet any organization that teaches Prejuice".
Boy Scouts on the other hand have been largely co-opted by the Mormans since the 1990's. Churches are typically the local sponsor of a troop.
I will still boycott the Boy and Girl Scouts.
