  • Oh, some big states are going to be joining the party soon. Illinois, probably California, and possibly New Jersey.

It's really going to be more of a red state/blue state split, rather than big/small.

Texas will probably not go for it until ordered to by the Supreme Court. And even then, our a**hole Republicans will probably try to throw up all sorts of barriers.

The court is going to have to act at some point, though. We are a single nation, after all, and it will not be tolerable for a large number of citizens to have different basic civil rights, and marriage is one of the most basic, depending on the accident of location.

  • It would be nice to think that maybe the Supreme Court would take notice of the incredible movement toward equal rights and join the bandwagon. But I don't expect that to be the case.

However, even though we almost certainly aren't going to get a total victory from the Supremes, it's not likely that we will have a total loss either.

  • @ webmaster: The decisions can be released anytime that they are completed, but the decisions are expected in June.

  • As you gather information, state by state, you might find a few that haven't caught on to the 13th amendment yet. On those states you can depend upon them casting a disapproving eye on gay marriage.

  • Minnesota is poised to be No. 12 possibly as soon as Saturday. And while the movement is incredible it has to be tempered somewhat by the fact that were running out of states. Its shameful that gay Americans are having to go through a state by state battle that leaves many of us without equal rights.
