Shop Til You Drop

OK, brave souls who went shopping Thursday and Friday. Tell us about your best deals.

I went to only two stores -- Macy's and PetSmart -- and got a $250 sports coat for $63, and a $99 canister filter for $49.

I wasn't brave enough to attempt Walmart or Target or any of the electronics stores.

  • You can shop on line anytime. What I like about the Thursday night deal is this: How many times can you go shopping in some of your favorite stores at midnight? I'm a night person, so it's kind of fun for me.

  • "All he wanted was the "Twilight" box set, prolly serves him right." Too funny, Sarge.

I watched that video--I would not want to be in the middle of that mess no matter the savings or the product. I'll watch the cute cops from the safety of my laptop.

Hey BearFW, when we got home yesterday afternoon, I put away the leftovers we brought back from t-day, looked through the papers--there are a lot of great deals, but, other than a new desktop, there's nothing we really need, and I already know the gifts I'm purchasing for x-mas. Anyway, for my evening walk, I strolled down to Best Buy, while the store was busy, it was not insanity; I did look at the desktops--but I'm waiting for Monday on that one--and I did make a purchase: "Hot Tub Time Machine" on DVD for $1.99. For two bucks, how can I go wrong with a hot tub and a time machine? :)

  • Bear, give Dave a break. He was probably tired after celebrating Thanksgiving and Hanukkah. After all they won't be on the same day for another 7,000 years.

  • Cum on Marc. I know you would LOVE being rough housed by that policeman with the buzz cut. MMMMMMMMmmmmmm, get him on the floor, suck his cock while he calls you a naughty shopper.

  • Come on, Dave. You don't get the thrill of going into combat with battle-scarred women shoppers! They are ruthless!

  • I do all my shopping at home on-line. I find great buys and don't have to put up with the crowds and get it shipped for free, not to mention the gas I save.

  • Saturday is Small Business Saturday, which is dedicated to locally owned stores.

  • I got a GREAT deal by staying home. I kept my sanity and didn't get trampled. Nor did I have to freeze my balls off waiting for a money-grubbing business to send an underpaid (food-stamp-recipient) staffer to open the doors.

Corporate America is greed made manifest. Too bad the mom and pop shops are mostly all gone. One almost HAS TO shop at places where the measure of a person's worth is how much money they have or will part with in pursuit of things.
