Veteran gay conservative sees "no hope" for Republican Party

Interesting story here. I've always wondered why gay Republicans don't see what seems obvious. This one finally did.

  • Log Cabin gay republicans gave us Bush twice. The gay vote in both elections pushed the vote in his direction. What good did they accomplish? Didn't they get rich enough during the stock market boom of the Clinton years when we started paying down the national debt? Did Bush as Prez do anything for gays? Best to keep rich gay men away from the polls.

  • People are able to compartmentalize and overlook just about anything if they are so inclined to do so. That's why there are still quite a number of gay Republicans. At least this one finally figured it out, or at least decided to speak out.

  • Despite changing his party affiliation to "no party", you know how he's going to continue to vote. What's weird is it took him this long to come out and make this statement when he came to the realization during the Romney campaign that the party faithful was chuck-full of bigots? Why people would want to vote for a party that has a written policy that it intends to further marginalize those on the fringes is beyond me. GOProud-is that an oxymoron or what? You know he was not being facetious when he came up with that name.
