This is an important ruling that likely slipped under the radar with most news services. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ordered a new trial in a case because lawyers used a strike on a potential juror solely because of sexual orientation.
Maybe a small thing, but another sign that more and more courts are viewing us as equals and recognizing us as a legitimate minority.

Court says jurors can't be rejected because of sexual orientation
There are still lots of small ways that we are discriminated against, like this. They're nothing huge, like marriage rights, but still, they need to be gotten rid of. Another one that really irks me is the absolutely stupid rule by blood banks that bars gay men from donating blood. At one time there was a logical reason for this rule, but it has lived way past its point of usefulness. Now it's just a needless insult. I know I refuse to lie just to be able to donate blood. If they don't want mine, fine. It's no great loss to me. Just annoying.
Seems like a "Duh" desision to me, but then our Supreme Court thinks corporations are people and racial bias no longer needs monitoring in relation to certain election laws dealing with race (LOL); so these decisions can land on any side of the battle for equal rights. We're still second-class citizens according to way too many people and their elected or appointed officials.
