Bachmann: Gays have "bullied" the American people

Interesting story but more of the same crap that the religious right has been pitching: We're the oppressed people and by demanding their rights, gay people are trampling on ours. This is such a bogus argument and is really the first time a majority group has tried to claim it. Think of it: This would be the same as if white people claimed the civil rights movement was trampling on their own rights to be racist. Sorry, but being a bigot is not constitutionally protected, not even in the name of religion.

  • What a wonderful and inspiring presentation, Bearlyy. It should be mandatory viewing for straight people. And man, what she says has become SO TRUE of the religious right. If you say someone is homophobic or a bigot, they turn it right back on you and say you're the bigot because you're attacking them for saying that gay people have thousands of sex partners, live miserable lives and are going to die from a sexually transmitted disease after first transmitting it to thousands of other faggots!!!! Yep, we're the bigots all right!!! :)

We can't let them get away with that crap, and now they're trying to force the same thing on society with their "religious freedom from homosexuality" laws. That kind of twisted discrimination cannot be allowed to stand and has to be exposed for the hypocrisy that it is!

  • Talk about flogging a dead horse. She just does not know when to stop. I'm sure she's being true to her twisted convictions, but the cynical part of me wonders, as each day passes and she sinks further into political irrelevancy, if she's pulling from the Palin playbook and making outrageous statements to keep her brand alive. She would not be the first person to trample on the marginalized for their own personal and monetary gain.

  • Not new... The 'controversy' about matrimony is just this: if gays get the same PRIVILEGE, then the heterosexual men and women are losing the right of being the one and only priviledged in forming a family and raising kids. It's hard to believe the sharing a privilege can be seen as losing a right ... on the other hand, if there is only one god, this kind of narrow-minded problems are predictable!
