Texas Republicans endorse 'reparative therapy' for gays

Boy, this just shows how *completely* out of touch the fundie Republicans are here in Texas. "Reparative therapy" has been exposed as a fraud for some time now, and some states have even made it illegal. But here in TX, Republicans still think prayer and Jesus can cure us depraved homos.

I suppose people should be allowed to *try* reparative therapy if they want -- it is a free country. But they should be warned beforehand that there is NO proof whatsoever that it works, and it could even be harmful. And certainly any kind of mandatory reparative therapy should be illegal.

And hey, Dave. You're right about the gun nuts down here. Even the NRA is distancing itself from them :)

It's hard for me to take any state seriously when you can walk into Denny's for a grand slam breakfast carrying a loaded rifle. CBS needs to think of a way to put a dome over that state.

Don't know where Mr. Cohen does come from, but now he is trying to get into Spain - that is, finding a hotel that will accept his 300€ seminar about curing homosexuality. Just see it as a way to make money! (Thanks to us, no-one nowadays does need this fraud any more - all that anxious people out there can find helping gay and lesbian collectives.)
