Fingers crossed then for the next years and a brainwave for the Supreme Court. Little steps are important (and for those affected, there are no little steps at all.)
Seems like I vaguely recall that, too, cubby, though I can't think of why. Target has always been one of the more socially responsible of the big-box retailers.
And art, I agree that fundamentalists of whatever religion have a lot of things in common, and they mostly aren't good.
While it's true that any gay couple that wants to can get married in the U.S. by going out of state, the residents of 31 states still don't have the right to legally marry in the state they live in. All indications, though, are that it may well happen in the next year or two, unless the Supreme Court has a major (bad) surprise in store for us. And with this court, I'd never be certain of anything, except that they are a very pro-business, Republican court.
With all respect for all these community themes I am currently more affected by the war Israel is fighting against Palestina, with weapon-help from europe and USA. That's not a LGBT-Theme I know, but when buying I prefer to have a closer look on where the potatoes come from. These days.
New bombing in Irak, too.
Lybia, Siria, Gaza and Irak - and to the south Ebola in four westafrican countries, and all the world is concerned of is to keep the suffering there and close frontiers.
I'm very happy that we (all) can - if we want to - marry now. But this still is not the world I want to live in, not the world I'd be proud of.
Why do I post this here? Because they are the same fundies. Family (hetero-family) is the nucleus of christian (white) society, remember?!
