about 5 years ago i started dressing differently. up until then, i was pretty consistently the levi's and boots sort but i started to feel i was dressing too young for my age. i switched over to baggier fatigue type pants and khaki's for everyday wear. i grew up wearing snug levi's and if they didn't have the right fit, they didn't feel right, so i decided to forego them all together.
then. last week, i thought "what the hell" and got out an old pair to wear to my dr.'s appointment with a pair of cowboy boots, my old look but a new look for the current me. my dr., of all people, who's never commented on my appearance before, remarked that i looked good that day. later that afternoon an old friend remarked the same thing. now, i'm wondering if i was just over-reacting and age has nothing to do with it.
what do you think? are snug jeans appropriate on someone my age? or is dress a matter of age at all?
but i still want to hear opinions re: what's age appropriate.
The attached pic is not me, but certainly of a nice pair of old jeans. :)
Other than the extremely teenage looks like belted pants hanging below your scrotum with most of your undies showing, I think there is no age limit on clothes. Only the ultra-trendy things don't look good on older guys because they are MEANT for the extremely young market. Who would like to repeat those teenage years? Not me!
