WHAT ARE YOU READING?

one of the consistent threads through my entire life is a love of reading. it's something i do every day and never get tired of. i was never a fan of mysteries until this year, now suddenly i can't get enough of them. currently i'm working my way through the books of james lee burke and martha grimes and having a wonderful time.

so, what are you reading? what genre do you prefer?

  • I love the work of Mitch Albom. Tuesdays With Morrie and The Five People You Meet In Heaven are just two of my favorites. Making Rounds with Oscar by Dr. David Dosa was also great.

  • I'm a constant reader. But I'm more into bio's. In the summer I go through 10 to 12 books. My last book was the life of 70's singer Jim Croce. Currently I'm reading the autobiography of Lauren Bacall. The only fiction I read is Armisted Maupin and Patricial Nell Warren.

  • Currently reading A Clash of Kings (Book 2 of the Song of Ice and Fire series) - George R R Martin (One of the really good fantasy series I've read till date), Chaos by James Gleick (A very fun introduction to the whole science of Chaos Theory) and The Tell-Tale Brain by V S Ramachandran (A neuroscientific exploration into human nature, consciousness and mental evolution). I did try to read 50 Shades of Grey, but it was disturbingly bad and had to give up after the first few pages.
I usually avoid non-fiction, but have been getting into them with gusto lately. And it's nice to get back into reading after a gap of years! I still can't stand the "self-help" books though =/
