Eminem's New record (yes, I still call them records)

Eminem's new single is filled with violent homophobic slurs. Is it time for the music industry and rap fans to boycott him? Join the debate: http://bit.ly/GWyoX9

  • I don't know about you guys, but I boycott all rap, hiphop, dance music and drag pop already :)

  • Hasn't the new wave of rap/hip-hop (and its ardent followers) always been homophobic, misogynistic and violent? Not all of it, but a large majority of the product of this genre is, for the lack of a better word, crap - and antisocial at that.
I actually used to enjoy Eminem back when he was just getting popular - his lyrics were funny and somehow seemed.. relevant as a piece of social satire. But after he became successful, after his collaborations with D12 (I think that's the name), he turned ghetto and his music turned into the stereotypical regurgitated garbage churned out by the industry.

  • I used to live in Detroit in the late 1980s, and I worked in a gay bar that was frequented by street hustlers and part time drag queens
the Gas Station Lounge, at the corner of 7 Mile and Woodward

after Eminem became popular, I swore I had seen him before
I'm almost certain he came to the bar in skag drag and would leave with some big black guy

Feminem is just another self hating gay boy

  • Homophobic or not, Eminem, Snoop Dog and the like are and will always be dirt bags. Just Cryus and Gaga, these clowns will do or say anything outrageous to disguise their lack of talent. The best thing we can do is ignore them. If the media did they would still be yesterday's news.
