Anal Sex Is More Important to Michigan Lawmakers Than the Flint Water Crisis? WTF

"Up to 8,000 children in Flint, Michigan have potentially been poisoned by their own water supply, and so the Michigan Republicans in the Senate have bravely come together to push through a bill that… bans anal sex.
The insanity of this move is made even more outrageous by the fact that 1) Michigan already has a sodomy ban and 2) the ban is completely pointless. The 2003 Supreme Court case of Lawrence vs. Texas declared sodomy bans unconstitutional in all states.
So, to reiterate, rather than help citizens that are being poisoned by their own water, Michigan Republicans chose to spend their time and money upholding an already existing sodomy ban that is impossible to enforce."

  • Texas refuses to remove section 21.06 from the state's criminal statutes. The GOP here won't even give gay people that minor victory by removing a long-hated law that is now illegal. Instead, the law stands with the notation that it was stricken down by the U.S. Supreme Court!!!

  • Hey rj--on a different note, but the same theme, the NY Times today ran an article about Ted Cruz's supporters, who want to control the platform at the Republican convention and assure that it represents "conservative values". While on the first ballot Cruz's supporters have to vote for Trump, but in terms of the Republican platform they can advocate for whatever they want--and their big concern is transgender people using gender appropriate bathrooms. I kid you not--it's a major fucking concern to these assholes. The hypocrisy of these people knows no bounds, but they make issues out of non-issue things, meanwhile their constituents are anxious over everything but bathrooms. And the fucked up conservative Republicans still can't figure out why people are voting for Trump? http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2016/ … -platform/

  • Outrageous, yeah. The citizens of Flint take it up the ass every time they turn on the tap.
