Warning: At least one GOP Presidential Candidate Is Likely to Curtail Freedom If Elected

Ted Cruz's agrees with his father about how homosexuals atheists and humanists should be treated.

From an article in Newslow.com: http://www.newslo.com/ted-cruzs-father-suggests-p … -in-camps/

Cruz's father ". . . warned that atheists are in danger of corrupting the youth of America and called for action before America was overrun. His solution to what he termed ‘the problem of the Godless’ is the creation of a series of ‘Heathen Zones’- fenced-in camps located mostly in Northern California and Vermont."

“It’s a free country,” he said. “If these people need to practice their holy rites of atheism, they can do so, as long as they are in clearly-marked encampments far away from the rest of us.”

“While they’re in their Heathen Zones, they’re free to dance naked around the fire, brand the mark of the Devil on their flesh or whatever else they want to do,” he added. “Of course, if they step one foot outside the electrified fence we shoot them between the eyes. Two or three times, just to be sure.”

  • Kasich would probably be the GOP's strongest nominee for the general election, but the party's far right is agitating so hard this time that I can't see it happening. He did get the NY Times endorsement, but in today's Republican climate, that may be viewed as proof that he's too "liberal." :) I think he'd be a pretty strong VP pick if one of the far right candidates prevails. So with that in mind, I hope whoever the nominee is doesn't pick him.

You're probably right about Fiorina. She comes off as a more strident version of Hillary, which is a pretty amazing feat!!!

I may be wrong, but the GOP appears to be lining up behind Trump as its nominee. If Trump sweeps the first three states (Iowa, NH and SC) the Republican race could actually be over before the Dems'. Now that would be amazing.

  • They all come off like D-bags to me. Pox on the lot. For a group that talks about limiting gov't their hypocrisy knows no bounds when it comes to using the gov't to interfere with the private lives of men and women. Assholes.

Agreed Bear'nFW, Santorum and Huckabee are just working on personal branding and lining their bank accounts this go-around.
Fiorina, I think, would be a cage anchor for any candidate, and doubtful she'd get serious consideration. Kaisch is gonna make noise in and following New Hampshire, I think.

It seems like an eternity now, it's amazing there are 10 more months of this shit. There's got to be a more reasonable way to do this...

  • Neither Santorum nor Huckabee was ever really a serious candidate this time around. In fact, after they appeared onstage at Donald Trump's anti-debate event, one could legitimately question whether they're even still running.

I'd break the rest of the GOP field down like this:

Favorites: Trump, Rubio, Cruz (though Cruz really has taken some big hits; we'll see if he stays at the top)

Serious candidates, but ... : Bush, Christie

    Running for VP: Kasich, Fiorina

Well, it seemed like a good idea: Paul, Carson

  • Ted Cruz isn't the only one. Marco Rubio who may end up being the GOP candidate has very archaic views on gay rights. Add Huckabee who has less chance than I do of becoming POTUS. Santorum we know compares gay sex to dogs fucking and his views make Cruz look positively liberal.

  • This isn't really happening right now, is it?

And yes, I always dance naked around a fire when worshipping the big nihil ...

  • I think that Ted Cruz is running to be the Pastor of the U.S. not the President of the U.S. He would be the pastor/president of the selected few.....not all of the citizens.

He, along with he rest of the republican candidates, scare me.

  • Poor Teddy.....
    fenwaydav 01/25/2016 10:11 AM
  • Poor Ted Cruz. Everybody is jumping on him. Fellow GOP senators are saying they wouldn't vote for him, Sarah Palin endorses Trump, and even Natalie Maines chimes in with "I'm ashamed Ted Cruz is from America."

Couldn't happen to a more deserving fellow. Ted Cruz is a really bad guy -- worst presidential candidate in either party, by far -- and it's good to see the chickens coming home to roost.
