why is there a such thing as top or bottom

Just me thought on it...i think men are stuck on this top or bottom thing instand of looking for at the big picture looking for someone that you are willing to share your life with....so is it that what they say is true this life style is only for sex..i dont think so, but i alot of people do...dont get me wrong certain things are for the people or men who chose to do them like just getting fucked or just sucking dick...so do you let a good men go because you so call say your a top or bottom or do you look at the big picture and say this man makes me happpy!!!!.....im neither top or bottom..im for been happy and making me and my lover happy!!!!......it sounds kinda far fetched from what i hear today but i have hope....so again is top or bottom why is it a BIG ISSUE! when SUCKING DICK is just as FUN!!!!...SOAP BOX was it!!!LOL!!!

  • well alot of guy like the labels of the top or bottom, and fem or not alot manly guy are likely to be bottoms and some fem are tops for alot of guys like the feeling of and the guy' that say there straight we can say not if your think about being or have sex man to man your not that straiht as you think.guy only use that some they think there not gay so yes labels have alot in the man thinking in there mind think if there a bottom there not gay ,bi . yeah in there mind is the labels top, bottom,gay, bi, sub, dom......... so the best is to try to find a guy that not labeling him self

  • 'if your're straight, it's written out..'? Really? Is this why they make dildo harnesses for heterosexuals? A lot of sex is role playing, fantasy, expressing deep desires, some of which we go through life hiding because of fear of rejection. Who cares! Enjoy what you enjoy with whom you can both enjoy it. I haven't found that top/bottom is necessarily restrictive, just describes a preference. If it isn't yours, move on. It's the people who make excuses for it that bother me. If you swing both ways, you can enjoy many more aspects of sexual pleasure. Some can't for physical reasons, some can't for psychological ones. If you like the person, then you'll both figure it out. It isn't as if fucking is the only expression of sex that is available. And let's not confuse sex with loving someone. I would bet people who love each other reach for the moon and at some point care less who does what to/with the other. And if they are really lucky, they might experiment and expand their horizons.

    But a top and bottom contact or relationship can easilygo hand in hand with a sincere and close friendship.It all goes on in your mind and not between your legs!

  • We are all wired differently. None of us asked to be wired the way we are. It is a combination of environment and genes. Some men naturally prefer to do the fucking and some prefer to get fucked. I happen to be of the mind that depriving oneself of 1/2 the possible pleasure sex has to offer is stooopid but that is me. Just because someone is wired a certain way does not mean they cannot learn to appreciate and enjoy a different role. They can or could if they wanted to. There are certainly labels that have been placed on those roles but they are just that, labels. The bottom is supposed to be the feminine or passive or subservient and some are. I have known some pretty aggressive bottoms in my day that were anything but passive. The top is supposed to be the masculine, dominate partner. But come on what is more masculine sticking a dick in a whole or being able to accomodate that dick. Men, macho are supposed to ignore pain and continue into battle so one could argue that the bottom is doing the more masculine role. I remember when I was young 16 year old gay man and trying to find my way in the gay world. Back then gays aped hetrosexual roles to the T. One was fem, one was butch and as a 16 year old they didn't even give you a choice, you were chicken. I found the whole scene to be quite ugly and very unattractive and went back into the closet until I was drafted. Living in Europe the gay scene was much different and much more flexible and of course then I was 19 and could choose what role I wanted. Today most couples are much more equal and there is a lot more give and take in the bedroom. We have evolved and I am sure we will continue to evolve as time goes on.

  • it is an image thing .....bottom would mean you are fem or less of a man ... not true you will see as you get older. You become what the moment hit you and let you be or you become nothing.
