Mission Accomplished

I just returned from a 5 week trip to OR, WA and AK. When I lost my job in 2012 I decided I would rather have more time than more money. At the time I had been to 22 states. This trip finishes them off. I fell in love with the coast of Oregon and Washington. Alaska was simply stunning but didn't get to see enough of it. Still I saw a whale from 20 yards and got a "money shot" the water coming off the tail as it was about to dive. Also saw a 2 year old brown bear, sea lions, porpoises, seals and Bald Eagles.

Now I can get a dog or a room mate.

Sounds like a ton of fun! The Northwest is gorgeous.

As far as dog vs. roommate ... If you want help with the bills, go human. For companionship, dog wins, hands down :)

WOW!! Sounds wonderful. I lived in Seattle for several years and you're right it is absolutely beautiful. Never got to Alaska but would love to. I would like to spend some time in Montana next. Drove thru a couple of times but would like to go back and explore the state a little. Your travels sound really exciting and you reached a great goal. Its a beautiful country. Congratulations...
