Bullying....

Howdy , guys. Just a quick thought on this..
My Mom and Dad bought the house I live in in 1948. I have lived here on and off for the last 58 years. Haave many memories here..Took care of my Mom for 5 years before she passed in 2010.
Four years ago my neighbor moved in (his dad bought the house and they live there,3 kids and wife?) Everything was ok til his pit bull kept jumping over the fence I had mom here and I was afraid it would attack her. I called the dog catcher and they gave him a warning , that if his dog ever jumped over the fence again , he would be liable to put up a bigger fence. Needless to say that didn't happen. We got into a verbal confrontation, I decided , in order to keep the peace , I would build the fence, 1500$ later, I thought everything was good.
Keep in mind this guy is a gang-banger, is associated with the "banditos " mc.
Last Thursday , he started blowing off firecrackers at 6:45 in the morning ..He knew it would piss me off .. We had another verbal battle, he threatened me and my partner, said some sexual slurrs, about "FAGS". I went in and called the police , but didnt want to have the police come to my house.
Chatted with a detective and he said there is NOTHING they can do , unless I file a formal complaint, and that would entail them goin to his house and confrounting him.
I am at a loss as what to do, I'm almost ready to sell the house, and get the hell out of Denver.
Any thoughts from anyone?

  • Stop letting him piss you off. You can not control his actions you can control your reaction. When you get mad that gives him the power which is what the litte boy wants. Starting being extra nice wave say HI and just be so fucking pleasant he won't have a clue what your doing or what he should do. With any luck that will confuses the boy and he'll my well back off, at the same time get it on tape and nail the little bastard when you can.

  • I second Johnny's comment. Put up video surveillance cameras to cover your property, have a video camera ready at all times to document incidents, and keep records and document all incidents for the police and the courts. Are other neighbors feeling the same threat level? Can you form a neighborhood watch group or have a hotline where people will be called to come out and confront him as a group rather than each person having to face his craziness alone?
Sadly a neighbor like that who belongs to a violent m.c. gang will think little of resorting to violence. Ultimately it will be your call as to how much you and your partner want to endure....but you can take steps to make him feel unwanted and make him be the one to need to move away....
best of luck with a tough situation
