National Coming Out Day

Is anyone aware that this is National Coming Out Day? I never actually came out on this particular date in any given year. But I have come out and it is SO liberating to be out and proud. I have nothing more to hide from family, friends, co-workers or at church. At the time that this observance was created it was important because so many GLBT people were in hiding and in fear. Some are still in hiding. Come out! If you need support, it IS out there. Find it! Liberate yourself! You will never regret it.
