I DVR'ed the show and started watching it about an hour into it. That allows me to zoom pass the commercials and some of the boring speeches. Like I wrote in part one, I thought Cate Blanchett deserved the Oscar for Blue Jasmine, and so did the Academy. There was some though categories, but in the end I think most of the choices were right on. I was so happy to see Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey get it for Dallas Buyers Club. Ellen did a alright job as host. That's a very hard job to do. Keeping the show moving when sometimes there's nothing to move is a hard job. I thought the pizza and the selfie was cute. When the show opened I thought it started on the wrong note insulting Liza Minnelli. "ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING LIZA MINNELLI IMPERSONATORS I HAVE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. GOOD JOB SIR". Poor Liza didn't know what hit her. She actually did look sort of like a drag queen, but Ellen didn't have to point that out. Bette Midler was great as usually and so was PInk. All in all, it was a pretty good show, specially when you can weed out the shit you don't want to see.
BTW, I watched Ellen today and she had the pizza delivery guy on and gave him a thousand dollar tip not to mention the name and address of his shop. Not a bad nights work. He might have been the biggest winner of the night, and not to bad on the eyes either.
THE ENVELOPE PLEASE, PART TWO.......

And come on.. Ellen's jokes were way too friendly, specially compared to Ricky Gervais's jokes. But then again, I suppose that's a big difference between British and American humor.
And personally, I laughed the loudest at the Drag Liza joke. She did look like a drag queen, but then again, considering she's an alleged favorite of the drag crowd, that would be a compliment. It's ridiculous that the trans community is taking this as a personal offense. Get over it already. Just because she's Judy's kid (and a gay diva in her own right) doesn't mean she's above being made fun of. Besides, that's one of the oldest Liza jokes =/
Personally, I feel the celebrities need a bit of mean humor once in a while - just to remind them they're human too :P
Ellen said that Liza Minnelli was OK with the joke at her expense. They chatted after the show and according to Ellen she is a friend and they are OK. Hmmm, I think Liza should have been offended if she wasn't.
