WISHING OUR FRIENDS IN THE PHILIPPINES WELL

The devastation in the Philippines is beyond imagination. I have met and spoke to several guys from there over the years and hope they and their families are well. Some say the loss of life will be near and maybe over ten thousand. I pray that the aid they need arrives quickly. It is so scary when something like this makes us realize that in a flash, life as we know it has changed forever. I hope they find the strength.

  • Like all the recent disasters, Japan, the east coast, Haiti, etc., etc., I feel like we are becoming overwhelmed with natural disasters. I trust the 97% of climate scientists who attribute this to climate change (global warming) and say that intensified storms are just one effect of the tons of pollution we are pumping into the air daily, hourly, and minute by minute. We really all need to get with our brightest minds on this and begin to react by getting rid of fossil fuels. I recenty saw Mitch McConnell on C-Span talking against green energy and in support of coal. He is just one more reason to believe in the opposite. Morally bankrupt politicians like him need to get out of the way in the energy revolution that we need.

Not to change the subject, but since yesterday was
Veteran's Day, I think this hinges two topics together. Mitch McConnell and his fellow weirdos (synonym for Republicans) voted in September against our veterans.
