Guy living and working in Würzburg
Update 06 October 2023
Summer is saying goodbye for this year. Say hello to autumn. :-)
Interested in music (mainly Old and Classical, both listening to and playing myself), reading (Sci-Fi, Fantasy, History) and languages (speaking German/English/French). I like to travel if time (and money) and the circumstances allow it.
Polite, honest and gentle people are welcome.
On this occasion:
If your residence indicated in your profile doesn't match the place where you're actually living at or if you plan to go or currently are abroad (work-related or privately) and in a dire situation because you lost your documents/money etc., please move on to the next profile.
Same applies to 'military' guys deployed at some remote place somewhere on planet Earth or in an insecure country, wanting to return home or soon to be retired, but inexplicably having trouble with paperwork/documents etc.
I'm not an ATM nor will I send any (Amazon etc.) gift cards and the like.
As a linguist, though being a non-native English speaker, I'm capable of identifying rather quickly if English (or German), contrary to the details indicated in your profile or in your messages, is a foreign language for you and/or if you're using whatever translation tool available (e.g., Google translate). Be honest about it from the start, otherwise see above.
List of scammers/fakers encountered (+ story/scheme):
lucasdom101
Reportedly working in IT; work-related business trip to Dubai where his laptop/wallet/documents "surprisingly" got stolen; problems with obtaining new documents due to lack of support from family/friends back home; neither help from employer; now needing money (several hundreds of Dollars) to buy food etc.; getting angry when told "No")
Freddy39
Quite quickly trying to switch communication from here to other media. Initially trying to get help with celebrating his birthday (i.e., asking for "just" a few hundreds of Dollars/Euros); then it changed to needing the money to buy food (as everything has gotten sooo expensive); when offered an amount, it's too little, of course; finally asking for gift cards (from Steam, Amazon etc.) since according to him, it's the only payment the delivery guy from the grocery store accepts, wanting to turn them into Bitcoins; finally guilt-tripping with accusation of not wanting to help him at all in the first place.
Side note: This guy, according to his tales, has no bank account nor a paypal account, neither a job (because his grandfather doesn't allow it), but an inheritance from his late father he's willing to share with people who he deems trustworthy etc.
McNeil
Multiple profiles (i.e. >5), some of which are several years old, but with the same pictures and (almost) same/similar profile texts.
