watching CBS

It is as if CBS is mad that they were not given advanced notice. The didn't tell us what they were thinking.....WOW they didn't. For Gods sake quite talking until you have some new news to report. you are reporters not makers of the news. I am tired of reporters in this country making the news rather than reporting the news

  • Who has the problem? Those that watch or those that broadcast? There is a simle fix here.

  • The news people are just trying their best to do their job. I have an MA in Journalism/Mass Communication and I have had to fill news time like that; believe me, it is no easy job, but with a little patience, and double checking sources, etc, most often the truth is exposed. During my career of over 40 years, NObody EVER asked me to slant news one way or another.

Although corporations own most major news outlets, they do so as investors, not as controllers. Sometimes reporters make mistakes, but there is no conspiracy to slant the news except on Fox and MSNBC. They have taken the new idea of matching the slant of news to their target audience. If ANY coverage is too intense or too chatty, etc, for God's sake, there are hundreds of other channels and thousands of other entertainment possibilities. OR maybe it's time to get off the couch and go do your exercise routine.

  • I know... they can't just shut up. During this there was a lot "when news breaks, we fix it" going on. But some times you just want to watch the scene without all the friggin' idle chatter.

  • Hazards of a 24-hour news cycle. Too much time to fill/kill.

  • That's the liberal media for you. I say stay away from CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, NYT, Washington Post. I love the bumper sticker I've been seeing: "Stop Censoring the News."

  • CBS is no more guilty than CNN,ABC,NBC and all the rest. They keep repeating the same thing over and over again. If there is nothing new, go off the air till there is. jjtl, If you're unaware of what is happening, I'd turn the TV on.
