Am I crazy or is this mega-mansion ugly?

I saw this listing http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/9005-Durham-Dr- … 7201_zpid/

18Mil.
I dont know why I dont like it. Im trying to find the right words. Is it gaudy, tawdry? Overdone? Maybe its beautiful and I have no taste. What do you think of it?

  • Ostentatious might be the word you are searching for. Great idea to have a DaddyDater Bathhouse! If they can have a Playboy Mansion, DaddyDater can have a Bathhouse! Just think a Key club --- special membership! Tear out and replace what you don't like after the first few hundred paying guests have visited. You will have the money for the replacement work in no time! I'll sure that some people would volunteer to staff the place! Pay them minimum wage and they can keep the tips they get! Have to have a great manager to oversee the everyday running of the place. Also you will have to add a pool and huge deck area! Have intimate little cabanas scattered around. Would be one HOT place to spend your vacation! With the right media blitz it could work! Keep it a year or so and then sell it. You know how fickle gays can be.

  • @PacoPR thanks but I just rent a room an hour outside of San Francisco because I can't afford to live *in* SF lol. So I would take that house in a heartbeat, just thought it was really overdone. hugs baby

  • I like the built-in bookcases in the bottom pic. That would make a nice office or library except for the flooring is wrong. But hate the other two rooms, especially the kitchen.

  • I have a photo that I think is beautiful, unlike this "house" I wouldn't even see the shitty ornate crappy surroundings if this cock was in my face. Nice sunset too . . . OH, you hadn't noticed it is a photo of a sunset?

Incidentally, Marc - nice new photo of you in profile. Nice nipples!

  • Wow! How can anything so expensive, be so ugly?

  • Just looks wealthy and traditional. Imagine the same money used with a little bit of fantasy or with just a bit of 'queer sense of glamour'! ?I'd love to have a big kitchen!

  • Furry balls, that's the first thing I thought was cleaning that place. Bear, that's the second thing I thought was if I could afford a place like that I'd have someone(s) cleaning it. But overall, it's not my style and I find it UGLY. To much marble, wood and ornate carvings. Not even sure if I'd like it as a bathhouse. I have two bedrooms, and think constantly about downsizing. As I get older I find less is more.

  • Well, if one likes wretched excess .....

And hey guys. If you could afford this, you wouldn't be cleaning your own floors or scrubbing the 15 toilets. If the hired help didn't get the floors or toilets clean, you could chew them out and fire them and hire some more illegal immigrants!

  • Yeah and I'll never live in white or very light floors again. I grew up in a home with white tile floors and no matter how much you cleaned it they still looked dirty. I remember spending an entire day mopping the room determined to get the floors sparkling and when I was done it still looked dirty.
    never again.

  • 33,000 sq.ft, 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms--that's 15 toilets that have to be scrubbed, a lot of floors to be cleaned, and don't even get me started on the windows!

It's not my taste either Marc though in some of the larger rooms, the spacious lines, marble flooring, and crown molding are pretty nice.

BTW, where's the pool? For 18m and no place to swim?
