What terrible news. Both passed from heart failure.
Fisher always seemed like such an honest, candid and funny person with a live and let live attitude. She was one of the first actresses who gave us a character who was strong, and a badass, and feminine at the same time. I'm glad that last year with 'The Force Awakens' she got to see that she was so beloved still, and how much she still meant to so many people.
I felt George Michael had one of the best singing voices ever. People who covered his songs never quite sang them like he did.
I always hated how George Michael was dragged out of the closet kicking and screaming, tarred and feathered by the news. A shame how he was shamed for such a small thing many men have done.
Can 2016 Fuck Off NOW?
So sad about George Michael and Carrie Fisher
...And we pass into another age experiencing anew that which we had known. As those who we perceive as simply paneled lining of our lives begin to fall away we realize, only after they have gone that they were important to us. They were not two dimensional plains in our minds periphery. They were solid beings who became a part of who we were… who we are. Our time is marked by events when we: finish a meal or a book, end a trip, use up a tube of toothpaste, let go of another year, loose a pet, and most painfully when we kiss a loved one good-by for the last time. We do not miss people and things that we have the potential of forming more experiences. Only when that possibility is gone do we recognize that all things large and small are a part of who we were once and who are today. As long as we live and remember they will never die. We honor these things and people that truly matter to us with a simple thought, a pinch in the heart, and the recollections of all our connections during our younger days.
The worse thing for a mother is to bury a child. Her heart was broken and now they will be buried together. Poor Debbie.
Debbie Reynolds too. Unbelievable! She died of a broken heart, its so sad
Her mother just passed away as well
This is one of Fisher's last interviews and I thought she was hilarious. She's such a Salt of the Earth type person with no pretenses, I love it.
