Target's Same-Sex Registry Ad

This is huge to me!
Target is following in JCPenney's footsteps by featuring a gay couple in their wedding gift registry campaign.

Things have really changed. 20 years ago all we had was Ru Paul.
Now we have billion dollar companies making ads to support Same Sex Marriage.
Thank you Target!

  • Except that they are remaining "neutral" on the Minnesota same-sex marriage ban. They want our money, but the don't want to piss off the fundies either. Fuck 'em.

    Doesn't really surprise me though. I used to work for Target, and they have, relatively speaking for a big-box retailer, been fairly progressive and actually do treat their employees relatively well.

    No comparison to Walmart.

  • Quite a pleasant 180 degree turn from their earlier pro-homophobic stance.. I guess it's the J C Penny effect. In any case, kudos to them!
