What do you like to do for New Years Eve?

Have you ever had a New Year's Eve that was fantastic and memorable? Did you go to Times Square and see the ball drop? Go see a fireworks show?

What do you typically like to do on NYE?

To be honest I can't remember any new years that was particularly memorable. Except NYE 2000 where I was in a bar and made out with this guy I was after for years :0)
Other than that I'm drawing a blank on NYE memories lol

Most NYEs we spend at home. If we go out to party we make sure that someone else is driving or that our host can put us up for the night.

Live within Time Square security area so if we go out, we cannot get back home. Usually watch the ball drop on the telly or go up on the roof and watch the fireworks.

My habit of recent years is to go out, but to wait until *after* midnight to do so. Crowds are thinning out, and I don't have to worry about drinking too much. And NYE is one night you do need to watch your drinking :)

In Chicago, there are 5 days a year I opt to stay home because of the amateurs who can't hold their booze, New Years, St. Pats day, Gay Pride Day, Market Days, and Halloween. And, once again, this year I will be staying home.

In years past (Many more than I care to acknowledge) a friend and I would go out to the clubs and get just enough alcohol in us to lose our inhibitions then we would invite some of the hot guys from the club back to one of our places to fuck the New Year in.
Now; I just stay home, make some popcorn and watch a good movie with a few close friends.

I grew up in NYC and spent many a New Years Eve in Times Square. It was fun when I was younger and now that I'm an old fart, I watch the ball come down and I go to bed, only now it's in the comfort of my own home.
