Five Guys Burgers suck

Five Guys really sucks. This is the second time I've eaten here and the second time I've been disappointed. The bun is meh and cold, the cheese is cold, they use iceberg lettuce pieces (at least mcdonalds shreds it), they use sweet pickles (YUCK!) instead of dill, there's no flavor on this at all. Why do people love this terrible burger so much?

  • Ahhh, now THAT is nice - I also like the tied hint - also enjoy playing with a bit of CBT and bondage. We could have great sex and make great love together, Jacker!

  • ok Zip, I"ll take it with precum but will supply the saliva lube. Here's mine. Like in a deep throat.

  • Ah . . . . er, Jacker, what do you want on it? I serve mine with pre-cum or sometimes flavored lube. Of course, I also demand a HOT dog in return - and I take it any way you want to serve it up. LOL

Damn, would't it be fun if all these thoughtful sexy men could get together for real.

  • Marc, WTF: no green peppers. now raw onion, no mushrooms no mustard, you gotta drag that burger through the garden man. I think it depends what you like. Burgers on a grill or charbroiled. I like mine on a grill, reminds me of the local diner, where I went to school. Good cheap greasy burgers. They also had good chili, we always thought they used the uneaten burgers in their chili.

As far as the Diners, Driveins, and Dives, sometimes it hard to live up to the hype. Or your idea. I would trade a burger any day for zip's hot dog.

  • I took a driving trip last late summer and fall up into the swing states in the midwest and I used as my GPS a lot of the diners and dives from Guy's show. It was a wonderful trip and I have to admit I was never disapointed in any of the places I went to. I have to admit I have never been to Five Brothers as I just never could buy into the hype and the more I hear about them the less sikely I am going.

  • I have a burger once in a while, but fast food of any kind is generally inferior to foods that take time (and care) to prepare. Think about it. More and more we know that nutrition is a main key to good health. Why do we want to rush the process. Just compare it to other vital things. Let's say, medical care - would you want a drive-through doctor? 5 minute exams and you're sent on your way. Or, for your shelter, do you want the fastest-built house or the most-carefully-built house? Life is short enough; why rush through it. How about sex; is the fastest the best? Not for me! Slow and long with elements of fast here and there is what I like. What do you guys think?

  • I've eaten at 2 different Five Guys, one was pretty good the other so so. By the looks of your burger I'd say it was the location. As with anything the people behind the counter will make or break the food. I like to watch Diners, Drivein's and Dives. I was going to be in the San Diego area and had seen him visit a place called Hodad's. I went out of my way to find the place and have one of their burgers. The line outside was pretty long and thought it must be pretty good if the locals line up for lunch. Bottom line was compariable to McDonalds (mediocre), interior was interesting as a couple of the booths were cut up cars. I guess the locations pay to have Guy show up and hawk their place and tell them they have wonderful food. Not impressed, if they want a reality show do one that is actually based on what IS real and not what someone pays you for your rating.

Anyone else been to any of the Diners, Driveins and Dives location that have been on the show? Will be interesting to hear what the average customer thinks.

  • There are Five Guys in PA. But, bearkatz, you aren't missing anything. The burgers are crap and overpriced. The best burgers in Bucks County, PA are at Perkins Pancake House.

  • Only eaten there one time so I can't say definitively. I wasn't particularly impressed, and esp. not for the price.
